I held off the moment for a while, but a couple of weeks ago I couldn't resist it anymore: I downloaded Wordfeud on my phone. I didn't know why everyone seems to be so enthusiastic about this game, but now I do...
It's an addiction. You can't help it. You just have to play it.
It's kind of weird that Wordfeud is one of the most popular games if you think about the (un)popularity of the game Scrabble the last decades. Apparently many people did like Scrabble very much, but they just didn't say it out loud. And the makers of Wordfeud knew this!
Since I have Wordfeud on my phone, I play several games at the same time, where ever I am. On the couch, in the bus, at work, while visiting a family member or friend, in the supermarket, and in bed.
Yes, in bed. Not just when I am alone. Also when my boyfriend stays for the night I have to play Wordfeud. And he understands me, because he's addicted too.
The last thing we say to each other is: 'Good night! I am going to sleep after I put a new word on the board...' And ofcourse, the first thing in the morning... 'Morning, what's the time? Six fifteen? Let me think about a word first, and then we try to sleep for a while longer, 'cause it's weekend.'
Six fifteen on a Saturday morning and playing Wordfeud while laying in bed together? Yes. It's insane. But it's true. And I was relieved when I heard my friend say that she does exactly the same with her boyfriend.
Wordfeud is an addiction. I love it. I can't help it.
